**Job Summary**

Working for a global manufacturing business your responsibility will be to prepare CAM files and manufacture parts for their ever growing client base.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Support the Engineering Team with design and development of tooling solutions.
- Support Operations and external production facilities with design support and ongoing development of agreed tooling solutions.
- Identify and promote best practice in tool manufacture and maintenance.
- Manufacture mainly carbon tooling using CAD/CAM techniques using the company’s CNC Milling Machine and manual Lathe.
- Create and manage CAM programs for future manufacture.
- Manage tooling and material stock levels to maintain continuous production.
- Communicating with external suppliers to define the Make Vs Buy strategy for tooling.
- Play a key role in the development of future processes and Capex requirements for tooling manufacture, to ensure the company remains at the forefront of product development and manufacture.
- Play a key role and support the Engineering team with Process improvement and product development.

**Essential**
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of Machining processes
- Experience of CAD and CAM
- Experience working within a team
- Demonstrated understanding of Design and Manufacturing
- Collaborative team player mindset
- Open minded, strategic and creative thinking
- Research and development mindset
- Analytical thinking
- Ability to manage a project through to completion

**Desirable**
- Experience of design and manufacturing techniques
- CNC operation and programming
- Experience working in manufacturing
- Production environment knowledge
- Good working knowledge of materials (Metals, Glass, Composites)
