A large national provider of educational support services is looking for an AWS Solutions Architect to join the Cheltenham office on a hybrid basis.

The SA will translate business requirements into effective IT solutions that align with the existing architecture and strategy of the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the development and direction of the IT strategy with particular focus on architecture roadmaps.
- Perform risk and cost estimates for all solutions identifying areas where risk and cost can be reduced/removed.
- Leverage appropriate methodologies, techniques and strategies to advise delivery approaches
- Responsible for the production of system design with particular focus on design patterns.
- Set acceptance criteria, and evaluate products and solutions against criteria.

**Skills, qualifications, and experience**:

- Deep understanding of software design patterns and experience of their implementation.
- Knowledge of agile ways of working, (specifically SAFe) as well as other relevant methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. With the ability and confidence to engage up to Director level
- Experience with object orientated design languages (Java, C#, etc.)
- AWS components and integrations.
