We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to lead the development and maintenance of our digital infrastructure vision and roadmap. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our Defence capabilities.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work closely with stakeholders and the wider Architecture Team to develop architecture models of our digital infrastructure using the ArchiMate modelling standard. You will also define multiple viable systems solutions options and provide recommendations for delivering customer requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an Architecture Vision and Roadmap for DE&S Digital Infrastructure
  • Develop architecture models of the Digital Infrastructure for inclusion in the Enterprise Architecture
  • Define multiple viable systems solutions options with recommendations for delivering customer requirements
  • Develop Solution Designs for new requirements, ensuring adherence to the Architecture Principles, Standards and Policies
  • Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technical directions
  • Conduct periodic reviews of DE&S implemented solutions and recommend changes and improvements
  • Provide expert advice and guidance in the delivery of the Digital Plan and ensuring alignment with Business Strategies

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in leading the design and implementation of IT Solutions, Architecture and Design
  • Established Subject Matter Expert (SME) as a Solutions Architect
  • Hold TOGAF Practitioner and or BCS Architecture Qualifications or demonstrate evidence of working towards them
  • Formal qualification in the design of cloud computing solutions (or equivalent experience)
