- Coordinate the provision of group sessions that build confidence, develop skills, and reduce isolation
- Access Tuesdays 10am-12pm Women’s Group, 12-3pm Lunch, Art Sessions (1-3pm).
- Access Wednesdays 11.45am to 3.15pm at Trinity Church, Mansfield Road. English Class at Home Space.
- Access Thursdays: Workshops starting September 12-2.30pm
- Access Fridays English 10-11am. Tiger Community Hub. Gardening and Music at Windmill Community Gardens 2.30-5pm. (6 weeks)
- Art Sessions at St Nics Mondays 2.45pm to 5.15pm (6 weeks, in Ocotber-November)
- To work in partnership with Christian charities, organisations, churches and other faith groups and community organisations.
- Lead on the administration of the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects and activities
- Support reporting to funders.
- Develop and maintain up to date risk assessment for all activities
- Participate in own professional development including supervision, appraisal and appropriate training as agreed with line manager;
- Attend meetings with other agencies on behalf of Refugee Roots as and when required.
- Participate in staff meetings, away days, training, Charity events Annual General Meeting, Vision Day and other significant events.

**Education/training**

1.1 Relevant experience relating to the job

1.2 Relevant degree and/or professional qualifications in a related field

**Knowledge and Experience**

2.1 Able to use initiative and work independently as well as maintain cooperative and supportive relationships with the team.

2.2 Good understanding of safeguarding

2.3 An understanding of the needs and hopes of refugees and asylum seekers

2.4 Experience of organising and coordinating projects and support initiatives

2.5 Working with and/or coordinating and training volunteers

**Skills and Abilities**

3.1 Excellent communication skills both written and oral

3.2 Ability to manage and prioritise own workload. Punctual and well organised.

3.4 Ability and willingness to use available support systems (e.g. supervision, training)

3.5 Can demonstrate the ability to monitor and evaluate the impact of projects and support

3.6 Public speaking abilities
