**Freight Forwarder & Sales Administrator (Combined Role)**

**Rate - Circa £14:00 PH- dependant on experience.**

**Reporting to-Senior Costings Manager**

**Purpose of role
- **To Manage the Freight activity for our customers and provide Administration support for Group Sales.

**Hrs of Work-**Part Time ideally - 09:00-13:00 Monday to Friday (Open to negotiation for 20 hrs)

**Location-** Tipton DY4

**Role Duties-**

**Freight-**

A. Liaise with sales and customers to ascertain; details of item to be moved including; weight, volume, location etc.

A. Administer and keep track of shipping solutions that meet customer requirements/agreements and where possible to minimize cost or environmental impacts.

B. Negotiate shipping rates with freight carriers then arrange delivery or storage of goods at destinations and reserve necessary space on appropriate transport, giving due consideration to any regulatory/insurance requirements.

C. Raising and managing import/export documentation to customs, insurance, or regulatory requirements and ensure clearance of goods through customs, arranging for applicable duties and taxes, completing customs paperwork.

D. Make arrangements with customs brokers to facilitate the passage of goods through customs, completing all records and documentation including, packing lists, dock receipts, and certificates of origin, goods dispatched or received.

E. Effective communication with clients for activities including; shipping options, timelines, transfers, regulations affecting shipments, delays, issues.

F. Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, or other factors that could affect freight shipping.

G. Provide all appropriate information for the likes of; importers or exporters, consignees, insurers, government departments.

**Sales**

A. Provide administration support to Group Sales personnel.

B. Deal with customer or internal queries and areas of concern in a timely and courteous manner.

C. Maintain up to date data on company CRM system

**General Admin-**

A. Provide up to date accurate and timely information to team members to ensure effective communications.

B. Updating systems to reflect any new customers or suppliers or vendors.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £14.00 per hour
