**Accounts Assistant**

Up to £27K DOE

We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a well established accountancy practice based in Newmarket. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking accountancy practice that can offer genuine progression and development. This position has become available after such a successful first half of the year they are now looking to expand, if you have experience working in a UK accountancy practice we would love to hear from you

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts up to trial balance for a portfolio of clients
- Performing bank reconciliations and processing payments
- Producing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Liaising with clients & HMRC
- Preparing year end accounts under both FRS102 & FRS105

**Requirements**:

- At least 2/3 years' experience working in a UK accountancy practice
- Accounting qualifications such as fully or partially AAT/ACCA qualified is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Have experience with a wide variety of accounting softwares
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
