Poultry Farm Worker

Seek to employ a hardworking, reliable individual, preferably with previous experience, however, we are happy to train someone willing and reliable for the role.

Animal welfare and hygiene are of upmost importance, along with a knowledge of husbandry would be advantageous for this position.

This role would suit 1 full time person or two part time applicants.

8 Hours per day

Alternate weekends.

You must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

**Duties**:

- Perform various tasks related to poultry production, including but not limited to:

- Feeding and watering poultry
- Cleaning and maintaining poultry housing and equipment
- Monitoring and maintaining proper temperature and ventilation in poultry houses
- Assisting with the handling and transportation of poultry
- Assisting with the processing of poultry for sale
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities as needed
- Assist with garden irrigation and maintenance as required
- Provide basic animal care, ensuring the health and well-being of the poultry

- Ability to perform heavy lifting, as the job may involve moving feed bags, equipment, or poultry
- Basic math skills for measuring feed quantities, calculating ratios, etc.
- Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance is preferred
- Previous experience in animal care or working with poultry is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and withstand exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Please note that this position may require working weekends or holidays depending on the needs of the farm.
