As a Barclays DevOps lead, it will fall to you as a part of your new role to take accountability of successful delivery of platforms and initiatives involving the integration and migration of API services on to cloud technologies. In addition, you will also be responsible for devising migration strategies and implementing projects to not only plan and budget, but also the agreed quality ensuring governance standards. While doing so, you will be managing the DevOps project team and remain engaged throughout the delivery lifecycle.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Accounting for the change management process to be strictly adhered and championed for the team
- Housekeeping existing project repositories and services on Service First/Service Now
- Ensuring that sufficient level of detail project and quality plans are prepared and maintained for complex projects
- Providing regular and accurate reports on progress against plan to stakeholders as appropriate
- Guaranteeing project dependencies and assumptions are factored into the planning process
- Setting out the business case for Infrastructure procurement and DevOps deliveries for the program considering information on benefits, costs, risks, and timescales
- Employing scalable, resilient, and secure solutions in the public cloud, especially in AWS

**What we’**
**re looking for**:

- Expertise in at-least programming language (Groovy or Python preferrable) and shell scripting
- Working experience in CloudFormation or Terraforms
- Hands on AWS experience (AWS certifications preferred)
- Solid working knowledge of Networks and other infrastructure components such as certificate management, firewalls, and the like

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Confidence to challenge colleagues to ensure the most appropriate solution delivered
- Experience of working with Docker and Kubernetes
- DevOps related certifications
