Claims Handler

We are looking for a Claims Handler to join a leading Pet Insurance company in Borehamwood. This is a varied and interesting role encompassing admin and customer service skills. You will be a vital part of the team, processing pet insurance claims primarilyfor customers veterinary treatment fees. The position is full time, Monday - Friday and is based out of the office in Borehamwood.
**The role and responsibilities**:
As a Claims Handler you will be a vital part of the customer’s journey, ensuring that they have a smooth process when dealing with their pet’s veterinary treatment fees.
- Processing new and continuing claims and dealing with all correspondence (Inbound and outbound calls)
- Answering all calls promptly in a polite manner
- Helping customers and resolving queries where possible or escalating to a manager
- Handling and resolving customer complaints
- Data entry

**What we are looking for**:
You may currently work in a Claims Handler position or in a role that encompasses both phone customer service and admin skills.
- Previous customer service experience and an excellent telephone manner
- Experience of working towards targets and service standards
- Proven letter writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
