One of the Country’s leading privately owned Construction Companies, **Luddon Construction Ltd** is an extremely successful and reputable Civil Engineering, Building and Surfacing Contractor based in Glasgow, with operations and projects now spanning throughout the whole of the UK.

We are recruiting for an experienced, self-motivated and confident **HR Advisor **to join our HR team based at our Glasgow Head Office.

The HR Advisor will support the General Manager for HR, HSEQ and Training with the provision of a best-in-class HR support service to the business throughout all of our UK operations and the delivery of our HR improvement strategy.

**As an HR Advisor your responsibilities will be to**:

- Provide support to the operations divisions and other support functions related to:

- recruitment
- onboarding
- absence management
- performance management
- occupational health
- Develop company policies, procedures and employee guidance in line with our ongoing HR improvement strategy.
- Carry out recruitment activity, including but not limited to, advertising opportunities through social media (LinkedIn) and other traditional channels, production of job descriptions and person specifications and CV screening.
- Liaise with Universities, Colleges and Schools in relation to apprentice and graduate recruitment.
- Organise and schedule meetings and appointments, including hearings, interviews and inductions.
- Note-taking and minute-taking and meetings and hearings.
- Monitor absence, working hours and holiday data to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies
- Assist with the delivery of social value activities such as liaising with Client representatives, local schools and other agencies to organise and co-ordinate events, recording and communication of community benefits activity to interested internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required

**Essential**
- Previous experience in a human resource or related role.
- IT literacy - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and Clients.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in relation to data entry and management.
- Discretion and trustworthiness in relation to handling of confidential and sensitive employee data.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks and projects with autonomy and mínimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to continued professional development.

**Desirable**
- Further education qualification in administration or business management.
- CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management or higher.
- Experience in the following areas:

- Performance Management
- Recruitment
- HR Policy Development
- Compensation & Benefits
- Familiar with ACAS and other best practice guidance in relation to:

- Induction
- Performance Management
- Absence Management
- Recruitment
- Data Privacy
