We are looking for a part-time Secretary to join our fantastic administration team.

We are a friendly practice with seven-doctors (four partners), excellent nursing and admin teams and serve 11,700 patients. We form one of the four practices in the Bournemouth Central Network. We are a training practice working from two premises.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Type referral letters, reports and other documents as requested by the Primary Healthcare team; log referral letters.
- Manage the Choose & Book appointment system, including generating appointment requests, booking and cancelling of appointments as required, management of worklists.
- Deal with telephone enquiries.
- Follow up queries, as requested by doctors.
- Open and distribute incoming mail from external postal service, in line with current protocol.
- Deal with requests for medical reports from government departments, in line with standard practice procedures. Maintain records of these requests, invoice as required, and log incoming payments.
- Take responsibility for administration of the petty cash, according to practice procedure.
- Logging of incoming cash and cheques. Balancing of non-NHS tin.
- Maintain adequate stocks of stationery items, such as postage stamps, stationery and printer consumables.
- To provide emergency sickness cover and holiday leave cover for your counterpart.
- Undertake other duties as required, in line with the needs of the practice.

Working days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £12.50 per hour
