Study Inn has an exciting opportunity for a **Research Assistant** to join the Acquisitions & Research Department based in our Head Quarters in Coventry City Centre.

The role will be focusing on gathering, processing and interpreting data with a view to investigating potential developments and leads from the acquisitions team. Using a range of media, information sources and enquiries they will be responsible for collating thorough and detailed reports on locations, universities or competitors. This could be an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to pursue a career in property acquisition and development.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Finding out information as required from the Research or Acquisitions Team using the internet, telephone, news articles or by making enquires in person
- Inputting information into our research database (Full training provided)
- Gaining a full understanding of what factors are considered in property acquisitions and how the business and market operate in real life situations
- To carry out telephone enquiries in a polite & courteous manner
- The ability to read through high volumes of information and capture essential data
- To collate information and present it within a report format showing detail and highlighting key & essential information.
- May very occasionally require you to travel to other cities for research purposes (Advance notice will always be given)
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required from you from time to time.
- Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, essentially within Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Must be well experienced in using the internet & search engines to source data
- Strong organisational and clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to record data accurately and methodically
- Good time management skills
- An interest in current affairs and different cultures
- Experience of processing large amounts of data
- Experience of report writing and collating information
- To be adaptable and persistent enough to learn and try new tasks and methods of work whenever needed
- Experience within a researching role, the student accommodation sector, property or development sector is desirable
