**Water Sampling Technician**

**Location : Kettering HO, with daily travel to sites**

**Hours - Monday to Friday full time**

**Salary: £21-25k DOE**

Our Kettering based client, a national leader within the utilities sector, are recruiting a Water Sampling Technician on a permanent basis. Reporting in to the Head of Construction, this role will involve collecting chemical and bacteriological samples.These will be taken from all new mains apparatus on development sites across a defined geographical area, to ensure that the company can deliver safe and potable water to all end users.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Flushing through all newly installed mains apparatus.
- Collecting samples from these flush throughs.
- Checking samples to determine the Turbidity and chlorine levels of the water.
- Transporting and delivering samples to designated UKAS accredited laboratories for sampling analysis.
- Undertaking the completion of the firms’ Quality Assurance paperwork.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and representatives.
- You will be expected to drive to and from various sites within a geographical area
- Competent literacy and numeracy skills.
- A commitment and willingness to learn on the job about adhering to safe working practices.
- A desire to learn and develop within the role.
- Be comfortable working within a team environment and work as a great team player.
- An understanding and appreciation of working in a flexible environment and have excellent time keeping skills.
- Able to follow good water hygiene working practices (once apparatus is made satisfactorily clean and sterile)
- Good standard of due care and attention in maintenance and cleanliness of a work vehicle.

It would be desirable, but by no means essential, if you also had the following qualifications
- Safety Health and Environmental Awareness Water (SHEA).
- National Water Hygiene.
- Emergency First Aid Trained.
- Water Network Valve Operations Training
- CSCS Card
