Job Purpose: To work as part of and supporting IMPAKT Food, and the wider organisation to ensure effective
management of staff and volunteers. To manage the operations of IMPAKT Food, providing free food to those in
need.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food Team Leader
- Manage the end-to-end Food redistribution operation to the public, covering all aspects of the delivery

chain (strategy, sourcing, stock control, redistribution, and logistics)
- Liaise with other food charities leveraging ways to work together and cohesively across the county
- Manage food assistants and volunteers, assigning and tracking daily activities in-line with requirements
- Oversee day to day operations of the food larder
- Actively source and build relationships with new suppliers to ensure a constant supply of Food.
- Promote IMPAKT Food through networking with local organisations and develop social media campaigns
- Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained adequately and provided with adequate mentoring
- Collate data on IMPAKT Food operations and complete analysis to see overall statistics
- Work alongside other homelessness and food aid charities to redistribute surplus stock
- Develop system to deliver food packages to house bound clients as required
- Effectively be able to signpost clients, where possible, to other agencies where they may find some benefit
- Maintain a database of clients and issue regular updates to clients
- Management of stock and stock rotation within Food, keeping abreast of stock coming in and stock going

out
- Create and manage SOPs relating to health and safety, also updating the FSMS (Food Safety Management

System) where necessary.
- Oversee funding/grants that are received for IMPAKT Food, taking autonomy on expenditure and tracking

spend.
Van Driver
- Drive the van in a careful and safe way and lead the van crew to ensure all procedures and health & safety

measures are followed at all times
- Be able to physically lift and move heavy items
- Complete multiple collections / drops in one day, planning the route to be time effective
- Transferring stock from one premises to another
- Undertake dynamic risk assessments when delivering and collecting items.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
- Collection of food from our suppliers for our food larder
- Deliver food to customers as required
- Ability to use own initiative when planning the route of collections / deliveries
- Must have a full driving licence and able to drive a Transit type van

General
- Ensure staff and volunteers balance is sufficient to deliver services as required
- Coach, mentor, and support both staff and volunteers to deliver the best of their abilities and develop

employment skills for volunteers.
