Your role of the Regional Business Change & Improvement Senior Officer is threefold:
Firstly, to be engaged in Border Force National change programmes. Secondly, to deliver Border Force South East’s regional Change portfolio overseeing regional Change workstreams and thirdly capturing and supporting local change initiatives.

Your role provides the bridge between all Change programmes, projects, initiatives and our front-line operational teams.

Your role offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide network of stakeholders across Border Force and the Home Office as well as service professionals.

You will work in a high-profile environment and will take on a key role in coordinating all change activity across the region, including business change, cultural change and behavioural change.

You will be responsible for liaising with the programme/project delivery teams and preparing the business for the transition to new ways of working by assisting in creating and implementation of change management strategies for the region.

Your role will involve engagement with senior management across the business and an in-depth involvement with operational teams, leading by example and championing change.

You will be expected to regularly attend our Folkestone office in Martello House for team meetings, however you may also be based at Border Force ports across the South East region.

**Person specification**:
Typical role responsibilities will include:

- Engaging and Facilitating National Border Force change programmes, providing governance and an overarching strategic view to deliver business improvement for the region.
- Owning and delivering the Border Force South East Regional Change strategy; working closely with regional and port leads to ensure regional Change lands effectively and is measured correctly.
- Acting as a lead for Regional change champions, ensuring local Change ambassadors feel connected, supported and facilitated in sharing, delivering and reporting on local Change.
- Working with the regional G7 Regional Change Lead (RCL) and Senior Management Team to prepare the business for the transition to new ways of working.
- Creating and implementing change management strategies for the region that maximise staff adoption and minimise resistance to change.
- Providing visible and effective leadership, working with operational and project leads to deliver benefits and improvement outcomes.
- Building and maintaining internal and external networks to access technical and professional best practice. Acting as regional point of contact for senior change stakeholders and programs.
- Driving forward and maintaining change implementation plan/s for the region and providing input to the national Change plan.
- Ensuring that operational commands are prepared and able to implement and embed the major elements of Border Transformation and that required contributions and inputs from/to centralised teams are secured.
