**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
**Day to Day**:
This is pivotal role within the TEC Project Team to effectively enable people we support to dare to reach their goals and aspirations, with the support of technology - mobiles, apps, tablets, PC's etc.
The Configuration Specialist will provide expert technical and product support to ensure the effective delivery of products that meet the individual needs of the people supported. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and proper operation, maintenance, and continual development of the technology used by the people we support
Although the role is office based, support will be provided both virtually and face to face in services, and travel will be required as part of the role.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Deliver Life Changing Support - Operational Excellence**
- Deliver against the organisation's TEC strategy, challenging the accepted normal practices and driving the transition to more technologically advanced services, increasing the organisations reputation as a thought leader and innovative provider.
- Take a solution focused approach and work closely with the assessor and wider operational teams to ensure support protocols meet individual needs.
- Continually maintain support protocols and a TEC product catalogue and provide information/updates to the Assessment Team.
- Ensure data capture meets the necessary requirements to enable suitable data analytics.
- Work closely with the assessors and the operational team to ensure effective delivery of products in practice.
- Take full responsibility for asset management. This may include but is not limited to support with setting up products in services, getting equipment back, updating the asset register, maintaining a stock of spare equipment in each of the regions, checking signal and battery strengths, and troubleshooting issues when required.
**Embrace Technology and Systems**
- Drive the transition to more technologically advanced services by working in partnership with the assessment team to find creative and innovative solutions.
- Positively change the way we deliver support through the use of TEC for the benefit of the people supported, family members and colleagues.
- Assist the people we support and their wider support circle to engage with, accept, and embrace technology as part of their daily lives.
**Provide a Safe and Quality Service**
- Work with support teams, people supported and their families to ensure their needs are met in an efficient and inobtrusive manner, ensuring the safety of all individuals.
- Work within a strict governance framework to ensure that any new technology and/or protocols adopted have been rigorously and effectively tested. Give assurance that technologies perform as expected, keeping people supported safe in accordance with their support plans.
- Link to the central quality team to keep up to date with changes in quality practices and ensure they are implemented.
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of self, colleagues, and people supported by following the appropriate policies and procedures and escalating any concerns, complaints, or poor practice.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Engage with key stakeholders including people supported, their families, carers, leaders, colleagues, and other health professionals to actively review support arrangements and seek improvements and/or enhancements that can be delivered, through the use of TEC.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to maintain the TEC and ensure it is working to the required standard.
