With our grand opening just around the corner, we're expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Green Grocer to enhance our fruit and vegetable section.

As a Green Grocer at Tolian's, you will be the backbone of our produce department, ensuring that our fruits and vegetables are of the highest quality, visually appealing, and prepared to meet our customers' needs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the freshness and aesthetic of our produce, contributing to the overall shopping experience at Tolian's.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect, clean, and prepare fresh produce for display.
- Sort through produce to remove and properly dispose of any damaged or rotten items.
- Creatively arrange fruits and vegetables to enhance their visual appeal and attract customers.
- Cut, chop, and pack produce, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with questions, selections, and recommendations regarding our produce offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce area.
- Manage inventory levels and restock produce as needed.
- Work closely with the deli and supermarket team to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, or a strong interest in working with fresh produce.
- Knowledge of different types of fruits and vegetables and their storage requirements.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high standard of quality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- A commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

Contract length: 6-12 months

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 48 per week
