Multi-agency arrangements will be in place to ensure the successful management of high risk, high harm domestic abuse perpetrators. The Domestic Abuse Partnership Perpetrator Approach (DAPPA) will seek to facilitate this management by conducting multiagency meetings to share information and devise robust management plans.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
**1. Main activities of the role (This list is not exhaustive)**
- Undertake research work relating to domestic abuse, compiling reports, summarising findings and liaising with other agencies as needed. Interrogation of Norfolk and National police systems/databases as appropriate.
- Provide administrative support for investigative and safeguarding enquiries conducted by the DAPPA Team
- Building professional relationships with partner agencies and other Police Forces.
- Process telephone calls and enquiries sensitively and professionally, escalate as necessary.
- Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality is maintained within the work produced.
- Identifying high risk cases and taking appropriate action as required including highlighting issues to officers/agencies of information that may be relevant to a case and or the safety of individuals.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and take minutes.
- Support the department in the running and maintenance of the office.
- Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management.

2. Special conditions/Points to note
a) The purpose of this job description is to indicate the general level of the duties and responsibility of the role, the duties may from time to time vary without changing the general character of the role or the levels of responsibilities.

b) Whilst the role is normally based at the aforementioned location, you may be required to work at other establishments within Norfolk Constabulary as may be reasonably required. Police Staff Conditions of Service will be adhered to in such instances.

c) All duties must be carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and good practice. A ‘No Smoking in the Work Place’ policy applies.

d) All duties must be carried out in a manner that supports the Constabulary’s commitment to equality and inclusion.
e) The post holder will read material relating to both the abuse of adults and children within a domestic abuse setting which may be of an explicit and upsetting nature.

**It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Demonstrate good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proven office / administration experience
- Proven data input and keyboard skills
- Demonstrable experience in working proactively using own initiative
- A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

**It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Previous experience of working in a policing environment
- Previous experience of working in a multi-agency environment

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a temporary basis.

Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
