**Why am I needed?**
Community is at the heart of everything that we do at Tenovus Cancer Care to help those affected by cancer. Our aim is simple - to deliver a vision where fewer people get cancer and those that do receive equal access to excellent treatment. However, we can’t do this without your help. So, we’d like you to volunteer your time and commitment to help us make a difference.
There are lots of different roles to choose from. If you wanted to gain hands on customer service skills, or if you have a particular interest in Books, or Media etc, we have something to suit every interest in our Charity Shops.
We are now taking on anyone aged 16 and over and 14 and over if you are part of Duke of Edinburgh or Welsh Baccalaureate.
**What will I be doing?**
Activities will be largely determined by the type of volunteering you would like to undertake, some examples are:
Interacting with shop customers, making them feel welcome and answering queries
Sorting and displaying donations alongside our Retail Assistants
Working alongside our Upcycle Creators to transform donated clothes and accessories into unique and special pieces
Assisting our Visual Merchandisers to create engaging shop window displays
**What skills do I need?**
As a Young Volunteer, no prior experience or skills are required
We simply ask that you:
Show a keen initiative to learn and get involved
Display a friendly and kind attitude
**How much time do I need to commit?**
**What support will I be given?**
We are a friendly bunch at Tenovus Cancer Care and you will be supported by our Volunteer Development Team, Shop/Workplace Managers and our wonderful Volunteers.
