Overview

Trigon Recruitment are recruiting for a well established National Training Provider who are continuing to expand their delivery. With a strong presence in the South and East of England in particular, this Ofsted Grade 2 provider are seeking to appoint anexperienced and qualified Work Placement Co-Ordinator.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate individual to support our learners in to work placements. Actively seeking new, high-quality placement opportunities, as well as being the key point of contact for employers whilst they host students on work placements.

Qualifications:

- NVQ in Advice and Guidance L2 - L6, Desirable

About the role:
Responsible for the co-ordination of high-quality work placement opportunities for learners on 15-24 OnTrack, 16-19 study programmes & 19 - 24 Traineeships. Actively seeking new, high-quality placement opportunities, as well as being the key point of contactfor employers whilst they host students on work placements. This role requires liaison with learners, employers, curriculum staff to ensure that students participate in high-quality and productive work experience programmes and that learner progress is capturedand distance travelled monitored.

This role will require extensive travek throughout London and the South East so a willingness to do so and access to your own vehicle is a must.

The position is full time and perm and is for 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Requirements of the role
- Developing new, high-quality placement opportunities and ensuring that communication with employers is timely, effective, and contributes to high employer satisfaction
- Respond to student placement queries and issues promptly
- Visit and coordinate potential or new placement providers to continually expand the range of placements for our students, and to conduct health and safety audits and risk assessments
- Ensuring that an accurate Health and Safety record system is maintained
- Provide placement presentations for cohorts where requested
- Visit placement and coordinate centres to support the setting-up of new placements
- Meet deadlines reliably and work to a high standard, maintaining full confidentiality
- Co-ordinating work experience systems and processes, meeting the requirements of OnTrack and 16-19 study programmes & 19-24 Traineeships
- Playing an active role in the marketing and promotion of the company, with particular emphasis on liaison with external partners, employers, and other key stakeholders
- Monitoring learners whilst they are on work experience placements
- Liaising with the centre managers, teaching staff, to ensure that work placements provide appropriate opportunities for learners to develop core employability and technical skills relevant to that industry or vocational sector.
- Being the key point of contact for learners, parents, and guardians during the work placement period
- Keeping and maintaining a database of past, current, and potential work placements
- Monitoring and recording the progress of students whilst on work placement.
- Success will be measured by the number of employer engagements your study programme and traineeships learners have access to progress their learning
- Experience of employer engagement.
- Experience of recruitment practice and services.
- Experience of successfully delivering against KPIs.
- Sales experience.
- Tele-sales and cold calling experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills particularly presentation skills, negotiation and influencing skills and written communication.
- Flexible with the ability to respond quickly and positively to changes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Market awareness within the employment and skills sector.
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
- Car owner/driver who is willing to travel to different locations
- Liaise with relevant team members to ensure learners are ready to undertake a work placement.
- Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with other external organisations involved with the service and learners
- Attend monthly team meetings with line manager to discuss feedback

An enhanced DBS check will be a requirement for this position
