**The Role**

To complete the effective collection and distribution of post. To ensure that approperte levels of stationery are ordered and maintained andto provide support on all aspects of the facilities department function.

The job holder will be expected to work as a member of the Office Services team and the wider FM department function. The are required to provide a high degree of customer care whilst demonstrating a great attention to detail.

**Outcomes of the Role**
- Responsible for daily mail collections, sorting, delivery and dispatch of all internal and external mail.
- Franking of all external outgoing mail, checking that the appropriate type of postal product used and ensuring that the post is ready for collection on time.
- Adding funds to the franking machine as necessary
- Undertaking DX collections point the designated collection point
- Participating in the smooth operation of the office internal mail system
- Receive goods and supplies into the office, coordinating onward delivery or safe keeping as required
- Order office stationery supplies, maintaining agreed operational stock levels.
- Undertake deliveries of copy paper throughout the office to ensure a local supply is always available for colleagues use
- Undertake the replacement of printer and MFD consumables once delivered by the IT supplier and organise the environmental disposal of all used cartridges
- Distribution of newspapers, magazines and periodicals throughout the office and reception area
- Complete out of office errands including bank deposits, collection of tickets and all other tasks as requested by the Office Services Supervisor
- Printing rail tickets and complete internal delivery to travellers. Maintaining a stock of blank rail tickets and organising the repair of printer faults as required

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Customer service skills - Actively looking for ways to help people
- Time management - Managing one’s own time in order to all office services requests in a timely manner
- An awareness of health and safety issues - Lifting, carrying pulling, pushing and climbing
- The ability to work on your own with the minimum of supervision
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organisational skills
