In this role, you will ensure procurement services meet customers’ expectations and priorities and that customers have opportunities to influence service delivery.

**The role responsibilities**:

- Deliver excellent, consistent, and responsive procurement services, which include:

- Procuring contracts for goods, services and works in line with Company policy and all relevant UK legislation.
- Supporting management and delivery of contracts
- Prepare and manage a range of procurement exercises
- Implementing audit recommendations
- Monitoring and reporting, identified key suppliers
- Deliver procurement services that are inclusive and accessible to all customers and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and make recommendations to the Procurement Manager.
- When required, participate in new initiatives that will lead to improvement in performance and service delivery.
- Support a variety of inclusive and effective customer involvement opportunities
- Research industry good practice and identify opportunities to develop, enhance and/or improve your service area
- Contribute to the delivery of the Group’s Procurement policy and ensure compliance with this and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

**The person we’re looking for**:

- Previous procurement experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- IT skills including the use of Microsoft packaged including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
- Public procurement experience, desirable but not essential
