**The Company**
Nigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team is delighted to be working with a service sector organisation to recruit a newly created Procurement Manager role.The role will require 3 days' per week on site working in one of their Northeast offices and2 days' home working.
**The Opportunity**
The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with key functions across the organisation and have the following remit:

- Devising and implementing Procurement Strategy
- Managing and mentoring a small team
- Devising and implementing procurement process, procedures and best practice to ensure compliance and consistency
- Educating and advising stakeholders as to the most appropriate and compliant routes to market which will provide best value for money
- Building relationships with key stakeholders
- Sourcing new vendors/frameworks

**About You**
The successful Procurement Manager will have/be:

- Strong procurement track record - from within a Public Sector background with detailed understanding of public sector rules and regulations preferred
- Accustomed to managing 360 procurement activity from RFP to tender to contract, managing frameworks and supplier performance against SLA
- Experienced in implementing Procurement best practice, systems and process
- Personable, engaging, self starter - excellent relationship building and stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable in challenging stakeholders internally and externally
