We are looking for a bright, personable, hardworking, detail-focused, and enthusiastic summer intern to work alongside our Event Manager at CarFest 2024

This is a **voluntary role** and would suit a student seeking a placement, as part of their dissertation in Event Management or a similar course. Beginning in March you will be required to attend our Monthly CarFest Meetings (which take place from 2-4pm on the second Tuesday of the month) The hours then gradually build as we progress through the summer months leading up to CarFest in August.

An example of the required hours is set out below, which can be a mix of remote and onsite work but with August requiring full flexibility and full-time commitment onsite at Laverstoke Park Farm:

35hrs July - 35hrs

You will gain experience in written communication, people skills, working with suppliers, working to a budget, assisting in finding sponsors, spoken communication, negotiation, networking and lots more In addition, there is also the option to work as our VIP Hospitality Co-ordinator in our hospitality area at CarFest, this role is a paid role from Tuesday 20th - Monday 26th August 2024 CarFest Management Ltd is the overall event organiser, but as the host, we have a lot of responsibility also. Therefore, you will have quite a lot of interaction with CarFest Management, as well as sponsors, suppliers and volunteers of the festival. For this reason, this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain invaluable experience within the exciting world of events

Laverstoke Park Farm does not make any profit hosting CarFest or running the workshops; this is our donation to the charities. As such, our budget is small. But our ambitions are high and we want to raise as much money as possible for the charities whilst making sure people have as much family friendly fun as possible in the process

Voluntary (with the option for paid work as VIP Host)
