The Oliver McGowan training pilot - Tier 1 of which was developed in Gloucestershire - needs to be rolled out across a number of organisations in the County. To help put robust arrangements in place, we are now seeking a Training Project Lead.

You will need to have demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects to tight deadlines, be comfortable working with financial information, have some understanding of training or educational provision and be able to work collaboratively across organisations to deliver workable solutions. Whilst needing to have a strategic perspective, this is also a hands-on role, and you’ll need to be comfortable working with detail and helping develop and then implement processes and training arrangements.
- Provide strategic advice & guidance on matters relating to the Oliver McGowan mandatory training requirements & delivery set-up
- Undertake continuing professional development in order to reflect current practice & service provision in the field of mental health and learning disability
- Work in line with GDPR requirements, maintaining confidentiality & ensuring records are accurate & where requested, archiving/deleting records in line with requirements
- Take personal responsibility for minimising health, safety & security risks while also supporting others to do likewise
- Support diversity, promote social inclusion & work to reduce inequalities in health opportunities through training & education of the Trust’s workforce
- Communicate information to work colleagues & members of the Trust, using tact & diplomacy & in a kind manner
- Work collaboratively with other NHS organisations, both nationally & across the local ICS/STP & with a wide range of external agencies & organisations
- Support people to ‘speak up’ so that their thoughts, ideas & concerns are heard
- Act in ways that support equality & value diversity, treating everyone with dignity & respect & recognising & reporting behaviour that undermines equality & diversity
