A full-time vacancy exists in the Technology (Computing) Section of Oncology Physics. The post holder will be part of a small team (3.0 wte) providing a high quality Computing service to Oncology, particularly to Radiotherapy. This service is essential for the safe operation of highly complex Radiotherapy equipment which includes Linear Accelerators, CT Scanners, a High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Unit and a kV Therapy Unit. The post holder will provide routine and ad-hoc reports on radiotherapy data, including treatment data and outcomes, and supporting capacity planning models. To develop, implement and establish innovative and effective analysis and reporting systems including dynamic dashboards, underpinned by radiotherapy specific datasets and to provide support for QPulse, the department’s Quality Management System.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential for the work involved. The interviews will take place on 23/02/23.

Minimum qualifications are a degree or an equivalent level of knowledge, and experience in Computing technology. Some knowledge of radiotherapy physics would be advantageous.
