**NRM** part of **Cawood** is the UK’s leading independent scientific group, recognised for its technical capability and value-added service to customers. We provide laboratory analysis to the agriculture, food and environmental sectors, as well as contract research to GLP standards to support the development of agrochemicals, biocides and other chemicals.

Cawood currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team on **a full time, permanent basis** based in **Bracknell **as a **Sample Receipt Administrator**.

**As a Sample Receipt Administrator you will;**
- Collect /receive and open parcels that stream into the laboratory throughout the day
- Arrange samples into a priority-based order dependent upon their type and the analysis required. (This involves some manual handling).
- Assess the suitability of samples for analysis based upon their size, composition and adherence in following internal laboratory and external certification bodies protocols (e.g. UKAS/PAS).
- Contact customers to resolve any issues identified that prevent samples from being processed immediately
- Enter samples on to the Laboratory ALPHA system and designating report/sample references to each individual sample.
- Ensure that samples receive the correct sample preparation and distributing lab sheets to the analytical teams where applicable. This procedure can include liaising with members of the said teams to ensure that any irregularities are taken into consideration and to enable samples to be prepared/analysed in an efficient and safe manner.
- Maintain the sample receipt mailbox to ensure that all queries and additional analytical requests are dealt with in a timely manner

**Skills Qualifications and Experience**:

- Must Have high level of organisation skills and the ability to adapt.
- Must have enthusiasm and a keenness to learn.
- Have accurate and speedy data entry skills.
- Must be confident in both verbal and written customer service
- Can multi-task and be able to use initiative to problem solve.
- Have strong attention to detail
- Previous Administration experience is desirable but not essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
