**Role**: Branch Manager - Plumbers Merchants

**Salary**: £35,000-£40,000 (negotiable) plus excellent bonus

We are recruiting a Branch Manager to run a c.£2-3m operation with between 5-10 staff. This is a key position for our client - one of the UK's leading distributors of building materials & plumbing & heating materials.

**What's the opportunity?**

You will be running a small but profitable plumbing & heating operation / plumbers merchant with a turnover of £2-3m. A great brand and a very successful branch that is currently performing ahead of target.

This is a fantastic, successful and very profitable business. And it offers a great opportunity for someone to help make the place even better. There is going to be considerable investment in change at the site and we need someone to come on the journeywith our client. Buy into where the business is going and help implement change - improve process and systems. There is a great opportunity to improve the trade counter and lots of operational wins to be had.

Are you a commercially astute branch manager within a plumbers or builders merchants?

Our client is looking for a Branch Manager or Assistant Manager who excels at building and developing strong and profitable commercial relationships. Who will take ownership of the position and look at a long term business plan, horizon gazing and successionplanning.

**What skills do I need?**
- Proven experience of branch management within the builders merchant and construction supplies / building material distribution sector or within an associated sector - DIY, trade, retail.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
- Strong people management skills
- Health & Safety experience
- Strong knowledge of interior building products, insulation or heavy side building materials (would be beneficial but by no means essential)
- Successful track record of branch management within the construction supply sector
- Branch Manager / Assistant Branch Manager at a Plumbers Merchants or Builders Merchants?
- Branch Manager / Assistant Manager at a Distributor of Building Materials or Construction Supplies?
- Branch Manager at another trade and construction related company, DIY?
