AK Teaching, a reputable education recruitment agency, is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join an esteemed SEND school in Alnwick, Northumberland.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with special educational needs in their academic and personal development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with special educational needs, particularly within a school environment, is highly advantageous.
- Hold a level 2/3 supporting teaching and learning qualification (preferred).
- Comfortable working with students of varying ages and abilities.

**Skills and Qualities**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and understanding when working with students with diverse needs.
- Adaptability and flexibility to respond to the changing demands of the school environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to supporting student learning and well-being.
