Highways Maintenance Operatives

Due to securing the National Highways Area 9 contract, we are looking for Highways Maintenance Operatives to join us. These roles are all about delivering planned works within the contract.
The work is manual. It’s outdoors in all weathers and it’s physically demanding. But it’s also rewarding. You’ll be part of a team, pulling for each other and working together to keep the network safe. You’ll be working in live traffic environments.
It’s a 39 hour working week, Monday to Friday plus overtime. We operate day and night shifts, and you can work a rota of days, nights, or both. We provide training, PPE and everything you need to deliver in your role.
The contract is spread across a wide geographical area including Gloucester, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Worcester, and Herefordshire.

**Main Responsibilities**
Employed by Colas Ltd, you’ll be working across the Midlands on, or across all disciplines through multi-skilling/up skilling training provided
- Traffic Management where you may have NHSS 12A/B, C or D accreditations and experience.
- Vehicle Restraint Systems means you may have NHSS 2A/B accreditations and experience.
Landscape & Environment work under NHSS 18
Ideally, we’d love you to bring existing skills, accreditations, and experience from within the industry. However, we know what the market is like in the construction industry and because of this, we’re also interested in speaking to anyone who would liketo begin a career in this industry.
Having an HGV Class 1 or 2 license would be an advantage.
