As the Senior Project Planner, in this wide and varied lead role you will define standards, scheduling governance and assurance, implement planning processes and maintain the assigned work scope. You will also support in the training and development of others within the Portfolio Management Team. The Project Planner will be interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the customer to provide guidance support and monitoring throughout the programme lifecycle, providing accurate and timely management information to the Programme Management Teams.

**What you will be doing**:
The Senior Project Planner will be a critical member of the team supporting others with their knowledge and focussing their expertise in the following areas:

- Actively facilitating development and ensure the on-going maintenance of the programme schedule (Integrated Milestone Plan and Integrated Master Schedule).
- Ensuring that the scope of work being planned is fully logic linked with the wider work scope.
- Compiling and presenting key Management Information both internally and to our customer.
- Implementing planning efficiencies and modern planning methodologies to establish positive commercial outcomes
- Developing and supporting others within the 'Portfolio Management Team'

This role is ideally suited to a Project Planner with portfolio management experience possibly with experience in the MOD, Defence, Oil and Gas, Utilities, Infrastructure or Rail Industries or with experience planning projects within complex high value engineering/manufacturing organisations
- Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team environment ideally gained within the engineering/utilities/defence/oil and gas/manufacturing sector
- Experienced developing schedules of work involving multiple projects using ERP or Planning Systems ( Such as Primavera P6, SAP, Oracle, EcoSys)
- Ability to deliver accurate work within service level agreements and use initiative to work through issues and barriers.
- Implementing planning efficiencies and modern planning methodologies with a strong commercial understanding
