Trainee Planner - Derby

**MAIN DUTIES**:
This role will support the Planning department with the maintenance of project programmes using Primavera P6 software. Periodic reviews and progress updates will be produced for internal and contractual requirements using Primavera as well as various reports using MS Office software to support the Senior Planner / Planning Manager and the Project team. Working alongside all technical leads to identify opportunity within programmes reporting on risk and opportunity, as well as support the commercial team with time and impact analysis for change events.
**Duties**:

- Assist within the planning team to develop project specific programmes.
- Producing, updating, and maintaining Project Plans and liaising with the technical leads to ensure all plans are realistic, achievable and adhere to works information.
- Provide routine and one-off programme outputs if and when required from the team.
- Use a variety of methods to check the robustness of the programmes at all stages, carry out periodic checks.
- Update, Monitor and track progress on site and compile relevant reports for the project including dashboards and visualizations.
- Conduct Weekly Progress / Output Meetings.
- Attending bid and project progress meetings to collate information for programme production and updates.
- Evaluate risk within the program and plan accordingly.

- Able to work on own initiative and follow instructions
- Good IT skills
- Proactive work approach
- Willing to Travel, valid UK driving licence with mínimal points
- Basic Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project understanding is desirable
