Our client is a thirving SME business based in South Norfolk.A privately owned manufacturing business with a positive working culture and diligent approach.

Currently recruiting for a hands-on Financial Controller reporting to the Finance Director, managing the full finance function including a team of 4.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Responsible for the statutory accounts and monthly management accounts
- Responsible for the reconciliation of the balance sheet
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Fully accountable for departmental management, e.g. recruit, lead, motivate, appraise, supervise and where appropriate train staff.
- Responsibility for the financial controls and governance including stock and fixed assets, to review such controls and resolve weaknesses
- Business performance review and identify risks and opportunities
- Responsible for cash flow forecasting
- Responsible for forecasting and purchasing of currency requirements
- Responsible for VAT
- Head of payroll and responsible for PAYE, NIC and pensions
- Corporation tax
- Responsible for day to day banking activities and cheque signatory
- Liaise with auditors and other external professional advisors
- Support to the MD/Owner and local commercial teams to improve performance
- Monthly presentation of performance, risks and opportunities to MD/Owner
- To take a proactive role in the management of the business as part of the Senior Management Team
- Project management of Finance/IT system from specification to purchase and implementation including business cases to board of directors and post implementation evaluation.
