Our client is seeking a Sales Manager at the Randolph, Oxford to join their brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts
The landmark 151-bedroom Hotel in Oxford is part of the Graduate Hotels collection. The boutique hotel takes inspiration from the prestigious Oxford University, with nods to college architecture and crests, as well as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,"created by our client.
**The Role**:
As a sales Manager, you will pro-actively source new business for the hotel, develop relationships with agents and direct clients to keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace by following up on all sales leads, identifying opportunities, and conductinghotel presentations and site visits.
One year fixed term maternity cover.
**Sales Manager Duties**:
- Proactively generate new business from all markets with a focus on MICE, Leisure, and Entertainment, assuring the corresponding sales activities to win these customers remains up to date at all times.
- Researches and helps to identify business opportunities and reports findings to management accordingly
- Develop new accounts whilst maintaining relationships with key existing accounts.
- Manage large local accounts for both transient and groups.
- Undertake professional and memorable site inspections for current and prospective clients.
- Organises and executes FAM trips for clients alongside the Director of Sales
- To attend corporate hospitality and networking events both locally and nationally when necessary.
- Alongside the sales team, qualify, propose, and contract new leads with a focus on high value, VIP and buy-out bookings.
- Support the Director of Sales in supervising the overall sales effort of the hotel.

- Manage RFP Process
- Conduct Telesales Initiatives
- Keep all systems and business processes updated as appropriate
- Conduct and create product awareness initiatives with customers
- Planning, co-ordination and implementing of sales trips in the designated territory by agreement with the Director of Sales & GM.
- Manages cross-functional links with other departments & hotels.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based uponthe requirements of the company.
- Support Director of Sales and General Manager in monitoring all sales results.
- Participates in industry events and represents the hotel &/or region at national and international specialist trade fairs and workshops, agreed by the Regional Director of Sales, Director of Sales & General Manager.
- Takes part in Communication Meetings on a regular basis as determined by the Director of Sales or GM and lead if necessary.
- In charge of supervising and coaching sales team through close supportive relationship.
- Support Director of Sales and GM in maintaining standards, revise these regularly and guarantee that these are upheld through targeted training.
- Updates Sales Manual and other department related documents as and when needed.
- Involvement in supporting Director of Sales and GM in department target setting for self and team.
- Submit weekly sales call reports and future week activity plan as per the defined reporting standards as determined by the Director of Sales and GM.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and comprehensive and updated rate and special promotions summary sheet and distribute monthly.
- Assist the Director of Sales in the development and creation of marketing material and collateral.
- Comply with all policies, systems and procedures as laid down by the Regional Director of Sales, Director of Sales & relevant GM/HM.
**Sales Manager Requirements**:
- Minimum of 4 years hotel sales experience with at least 1 year of proactive sales experience.
- Experience in 4- or 5-star hotels preferred.
- Well organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have Office and Amadeus Salesforce experience and preferably some experience in providing training.
- Ideally have worked with Opera previously.
- Maintain an on-property presence for all large group and event bookings.
- Proactive sales experience is a must for this role as
- Attend weekly Operation and BEO meetings.
- Work closely with Food & Beverage, Conference & Banqueting and Rooms Divisions to ensure all bookings are seamless.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
