Sponsorship Opportunity - Radiation Oncologists in Australia

**Radiation Oncologist - Icon Cancer Centre, Warrnambool**

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Director of Radiation Oncology, supported by Icon’s extensive doctor network, and working closely with local clinical/operational teams, the primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality, evidence-based Radiation Oncology services (consultation, treatment, and all associated clinical care) to Icon Cancer Centre patients.

Located within the South West Regional Cancer Centre (SWRCC), Icon Warrnambool proudly provides radiation oncology services for residents of South West Victoria and border cities in South Australia. SWRCC, which opened in 2016 after the local community raised more than $5M in under 12 months and lobbied both State and Commonwealth Government for an integrated cancer facility, is also home to a Medical Oncology and Haematology service alongside clinical trial support, breast and prostate cancer nurses, and a cancer link nurse. It is a well-integrated, dynamic service with a strong focus on high quality, patient-centric care, and ongoing support through an established survivorship program. It is highly regarded and a source of pride within the community.

Icon Warrnambool cares for a broad mix of patients and presentations with the latest radiotherapy techniques and equipment as standard including VMAT, DIBH, IGRT and stereotactic capabilities. There are established local multidisciplinary team meetings as well as robust, doctor-led governance structures and close links to all other Icon sites therefore colleagues, support, and collaboration are readily available. We are part of an extensive network of cancer centres throughout the country and draw on the experience, knowledge, and support of this large network of clinicians to offer quality local treatment.

**About the Person We Will Hire**:
Icon is committed to providing the highest-level cancer services to our patients and referrers. We are looking for a highly motivated radiation oncologist to uphold and deliver that commitment.

This role is perfect for a clinician seeking to maintain a well-rounded, generalist skillset and care for a variety of patient presentations rather than being limited to single tumour stream. They will recognise this as an opportunity to secure a long-lasting and rewarding career in a beautiful region, or the perfect way to join and establish themselves within a leading cancer care provider with endless opportunities for future development, growth, and movement.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Current Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Sub-speciality training in Radiation Oncology holding the Fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiation Oncologists (RANZCR)
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Compliance as a healthcare provider with credentialing and compliance requirements such as immunisation, insurance etc.

**About Icon**:
Icon Group is Australia’s largest dedicated cancer care provider with a growing reach into Asia and New Zealand. Our Australian cancer services division is made up of six day oncology hospitals, 17 radiation oncology centres and eight comprehensive centres, integrating medical oncology, haematology, and radiation oncology services under one roof. The group also encompasses chemotherapy compounding services and pharmacy, offering a uniquely comprehensive suite of services for cancer patients. In addition, Icon offers Australia’s largest private cancer clinical trials program contributing extensively to the improvement and advancement of cancer care.

Icon is dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care to communities across Australia and boasts a large network of highly skilled clinicians and experts; commitment to state-of-the-art technology; and robust, doctor-led governance structures.
