Morson have been retained by an International Manufacturing client who are looking to appoint a Head of HR. This role is newly created and is aligned to a new business opportunity that our client has launched.
This role will report in to the UK MD and will be responsible for establishing the HR teaM/Function from scratch. This is a greenfield so things such as policies, procedures & systems will need to be created and put in place. You will have support andinvestment from the Group HR Director to grow and embed a HR team in the UK. Our client has several large manufacturing and warehousing sites across Europe and you will work with other HR leaders to ensure alignment to Global HR Strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
You will lead & set up the HR function. This will include setting up HR policies, best practices, payroll, training, reward and recruitment.
Implementation of HR & Payroll systems & process.
Define and deliver company values / culture.
Deliver on talent management / TA projects. There will be a requirement to recruit over 100 new employees in the next 12 months.
Establish a reward & benefits plan for the UK business.
Work with the Global HR team to deliver and embed the Global HR Strategy.
Set up a robust process around Union engagement and build key relationships with Union representatives.
Lead on any ER cases / issues.
Act as a Business Partner to the UK MD and the leadership team.
**Skills & Experience Required**:
CIPD / MCIPD qualified
3 years + prior experience working as a HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Head of HR.
Experience of working within Manufacturing / FMCG environments.
Experience of working in a unionised environment
3 years + management experience leading other HR team members.
Experience of establishing a HR function / team / systems (would be desirable).
Experience of building relationships with GMs, MD's and SLT members. A true 'Business Partner' is required.
This is a newly created permanent role which is to be located on-site near Deeside. There will be an opportunity to work flexibly but it is envisaged that you will live & work within a commutable distance to Deeside (45-60 mins). The salary on offer forthis role is between £65,000 - £80,000 pa + car or car allowance.
