**Purchasing Expeditor / Purchasing Assistant**: Working within the Business Operations Team to ensure effective ordering with all Vendors and Suppliers, whilst providing crucial support to the Vendor Operations Managers, as well as the widerSales Teams and Customer Services Team.

**Description**

**Purchasing Expeditor / Purchasing Assistant**:

- Working within a busy supply-chain and procurement team
- Liaising with Suppliers regarding deliveries;
- Identifying production risks and escalating them;
- Managing and updating the Open Order Book;
- Reviewing overdue orders;
- Updating confirmed delivery dates calculated on Suppliers dispatch dates;
- Managing Exceptions;
- Requisition POD;
- Running MRP;
- Order placement and consolidation;
- Master data maintenance;
- Owning Purchasing Inbox, managing queries and escalating issues;
- Managing the Returns Process - Communicating Supplier Quality Issues, Requesting Supplier
- Liaising with Goods In on deliveries;
- Invoice queries;
- Reviewing back orders;
- Other administrative tasks and duties which fall under the Purchasing remit.

**Profile**

Ideally you will have some procurement or purchasing experience, although good academics and a clear interest in this area will be considered.
- Strong Excel skills & preferably experience working with ERP systems & business management software
- Previous experience in a purchasing role
- Experience in distribution or key mass markets (not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive mentality towards tasks & ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- A keen eye for detail with an attentive mindset towards data management
- Live locally to Newbury
