Reports to: Gift Aid Processing & Operations Manager

Department: Chief Operating Office

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

We're open to a variety of ways of working, including full time, part time, job share and compressed hours. (To be included if applicable)

Location: Oxford, Sterling House. Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

What will I be doing?
- Carrying out the day-to-day requirements of Gift Aid claim administration, generating data, completing testing criteria, cleansing data, adapting and managing issues to gain claim sign-off.
- Producing analytical reporting from claims testing highlighting any areas of concern and possible training requirements and knowledge gaps in processing teams.
- Producing relevant reporting to assist in communicating Gift Aid income levels and take-up rates whilst promoting the importance of Gift Aid as an income generator.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation and support materials are in place for Gift Aid across teams, that it is version controlled, and is in line with the charity’s systems and HMRC regulations.
- Helping educate Income processing teams and monitor information input to ensure that Gift Aid regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Monitoring the archiving and document management of declarations across CRUK highlighting possible issues and offering proactive support to resolve problems.
- Serving as the day-to-day point of contact on behalf of the Gift Aid team, monitoring and responding where necessary to Gift Aid inbox as required.
- Supporting the Gift Aid Compliance and Engagement Manager, where required, in ensuring Gift Aid policies and procedures are followed correctly.
- Supporting other team members when required.

What skills are you looking for?

Essential:

- Previous experience working with database systems (e.g. Siebel, Salesforce, Cybertill, and FinDock)
- Proven experience in financial or data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of Gift Aid and HMRC regulations (desirable)
- Strong excel skills - confident with data manipulation, ability to turn data into insight, and formulas.

Desirable:

- Able to build relationships across the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, face to face, and by telephone with a wide-ranging audience.
- Highly numerate with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities and to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Can follow set processes and procedures whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
