Powder Coating Workshop Supervisor

Currently looking for a Powder Coating Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising our busy workshop, ensuring the effective coating of all component parts whilst following the health & safety standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop team, ensuring the targets are met
- Plan and organise to ensure the most efficient running of the workshop including managing production schedules on a daily basis
- Act as a focal point for all communication for the paint shop with other departments
- Provide solutions to problems that may arise
- Prepare manufactured components for powder coating
- Pre-treatment
- Powder coating and baking off
- Coordinate and lead quality inspection activities on 100% of painted parts as they come off the line, and work back through the process to understand root-cause of paint defects (or casting defects visible after paint)
- Provide guidance and direction to employees
- Develop and train employees to meet performance standards and conduct appraisals
- Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Standards within the paint shop area by working with the appointed company Health and Safety officer to meet regulations
- Ensure all equipment is maintained accordingly

**Skills Required**:

- Keen eye for attention to detail
- Confidently be able to make judgements about acceptable quality levels of powder coating of components
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills: able to build great relationships and trust with key people in other departments
- Highly organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Hands-on approach to resolving issues
- Supervising skills
- Experience in managing/supervising people

**Salary**: £29,242.76-£46,853.51 per year

**Experience**:

- Powder coating management: 5 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Rochester (required)
