As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

**Salary**:£11.64/hour

**Contract/duration**:Fixed term contract covering the warmer months and school holidays till end of September 2024

**Hours/working pattern**:This is a flexible contract with no guaranteed minimum hours per week. However, we do need to fill a mixture of midweek and weekend shifts during this period and rotas will be agreed at least a month in advance. Shifts are 10am till 4pm.

**Interview Date**:8th and 10th June

What it's like to work here:The role is based at Hardcastle Crags in the site’s woodland car parks.

You will be joining an existing team of Welcome and Service Assistants, and will be in post to help provide additional support during the busy school holiday periods, as well as busy weekends.

Main aspects of the role include welcoming visitors to the car park, promoting and selling National Trust membership, providing information about the walks at Hardcastle Crags, and assisting with parking and traffic flow. You will be required to work with a cash float, providing change to visitors using the pay and display machine.

This role will sometimes involve lone working, but you will be supervised by a manager on site throughout the day and through radio contact.

You will be working outdoors all day.

What you'll be doing:Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
