Job Introduction
As a** Security Guard **at** Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, 21 Claylands Road, Newbridge, Edinburgh, EH28 8LF,** your role is** **vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our staff. **What you’ll do**:

- Monitoring deliveries and staff to ensure they adhere to the required security identification and protocols for the site/area
- Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems
- Loan working and doing external foot patrols
- Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting
- Log calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to staff & visitors.
- Deliver and maintain customer service at all times.

**What you bring**:

- Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants and management as well as local police and fire authorities
- Standard SIA license
- Excellent communication and awareness skills
- Experience in working in a similar role
- Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures
