Landscape scale conservation requires us to also work with many partners includingthe RSPB, Natural England and Forestry England and their stories are ours.
Purbeck is already one of the most ecologically diverse landscapes in the UK with internationally important and designated habitats including: a significant area of lowland heath, ancient woodland and calcareous grassland, as well as intertidal and marinehabitats from sand dunes and cliffs to saltmarsh and seagrass meadows. It is our mission to connect people to Purbeck’s wild coast & country through experiences that will move, teach and inspire, and will ultimately lead people to share and develop our vision.

What you'll be doing Your job will be to communicate with our audiences using existing channels and new ones you will develop. So you'll need the ability to clearly and effectively communicate the importance of nature recovery and the National Trust's efforts in this area toa variety of audiences, through various mediums such as social media, website content, press releases, and events.
You'll be joining an established countryside team (rangers, ecology and engagement), working alongside another Senior Marketing and Communications Officer. You’ll take the land and nature programme of work, and work with those teams to develop, shape andcoordinate the stories that we will tell and the way that we tell them.
Who we're looking for To deliver this role successfully, you will need;- Strong written and verbal communication skills, linked to the role description above
- Knowledge of conservation, land management, and nature recovery, including a deep understanding of the issues related to nature recovery in Purbeck and South Dorset
- Project management skills: the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously, and work with a team of conservation and land management professionals
- Strong interpersonal skills: good relationship building and networking abilities to work with external partners and stakeholders
- Strong creative skills: ability to develop creative and engaging communication materials such as videos, images, and infographics
- Experience in social media management: to create, manage and evaluate social media presence, campaigns and metrics
- Strong attention to detail: to ensure accuracy of information and consistency across all communication materials
- Flexibility, meaning a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
