**Responsibilities**
The Head of Communications role is a brand-new role, created in recognition of the tasks both immediately in front of us, and the complexity involved in delivering on this organisational transformation and business strategy. As well as the typical tasks associatedwith this type of role, the more pressing challenges include:
Raising the profile of PA Media Group and its constituent businesses to relevant audiences through compelling and impactful campaigns supporting our strategic objectives
Showcasing our outstanding reporters and photographers to business leaders
Protecting the group’s integrity and reputation for independence, and political neutrality
Own, advise and manage significant enterprise wide impacting situations swiftly and collaboratively in line with, and in protection of the company’s values
Support seven different businesses with their individual PR and Corporate Communications strategies
Reporting to the executive team, and working closely with the Senior Management Teams, HR Colleagues, and the Internal Communications Partner, this is an exciting opportunity to build a Corporate Communications and Public Relations role that will both helpdeliver and ultimately accelerate the company’s aspirations around overall growth and positive internal cultural change.

**Do you have...**
B2B communications experience gained either in a media organisation either agency or in-house?
Very strong writing skills and extensive experience of writing a variety of PR materials?
Demonstrable portfolio of pro-actively achieved multi-media coverage?
Experience in managing and advising on crisis/issues communications?
