Job description

We are a busy GP Practice in Brighton, currently looking to recruit a friendly and confident applicant for a Patient Care Co-ordinator; the role will encompass various aspects from customer service to conflict resolution and administration which together ensure the smooth running of the team.

Patient Care Co-ordinator: managing the patients experience positively.

The core practice opening times are Monday to Friday 8.00am 6.00pm.

Evening and weekend working may be required as part of a rota.

Hours worked in excess of contracted hours are treated as overtime

All applicants must have a good general standard of education including Maths, English and IT and the ability to remain calm and good natured in a very busy and sometimes challenging environment. Excellent customer service skills, telephone manner and the sensitivity to deal with our patients in a kind and efficient way are essential as you will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Full training will be given but the role requires someone who is IT literate, happy to learn new software and systems, an excellent team player, empathetic and an effective communicator.

Other software used: Docman, Intradoc, INR Star, e-referral, Microsoft Office, NHS Mail, Docmail, Open Exeter, AccuRX and eConsults

Part-time hours: 27 per week

Pay: From £10.35 per hour

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative: 1 year (preferred)
