**The role**
Working with the Design Team Lead and Junior Graphic Designer, you will be supporting Garmin UK & Ire. in adapting global marketing materials & content for local needs, and by exception, create new solutions for owned and other business channels. This includes, but is not limited to, designing solutions for advertising, partnership plans, retail, event requirements and eCommerce.
The role is maternity cover within the Marketing structure.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure successful and compliant adaptation and localisation of Global marketing material, for the following:
- New product launches and campaigns
- Ongoing products and campaigns
- Advertising and partnership campaign activity
- Initiate ideation & design effective solutions in response to projects briefed for the UK & Ireland market
- Accurately prepare artwork files for print or digital output, with expert knowledge of the different technical requirements
- Maintain brand consistency by ensuring all marketing materials adhere to Garmin brand guidelines & that approval of localised marketing material is obtained
- Optimise marketing material by understanding advertising platforms & key retailer requirements, e.g. Meta, Amazon, varying display banner requirements etc.
- Ensure marketing materials are easily accessible and within usage rights, to the wider marketing team, by maintaining consistent organisation & maintenance of assets, locally
- Utilise project management tool Jira, and platforms like Sharepoint, to optimise workloads, prioritisation, approvals, and stakeholder management.
- Distribute marketing material to UK retailers and distributors using Garmin digital asset management and distribution platforms
- Create high quality presentations for internal and external meetings, to support the business
- Manage local agencies, where required, for additional workload requirements
- Continually review and develop processes and workflows to drive operating efficiencies
- Where required, consult with EMEA and Global stakeholders to achieve UK requirements
- Ensure all marketing activity complies with relevant laws and regulations e.g. Trading Standards, GDPR, ASA guidelines
- Ensure personal compliance with Code of Conduct, Web Governance, Bribery Act, Competition Law, GDPR and other company policies
- Support with the editing of locally shot video or photography content
- Understand the basics of Marketing & Advertising principles, and our Business channels, to optimise design work
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the products, within remit
- Work on ad-hoc projects where necessary

**Education & Experience**
- Recognisable qualification in graphic design and 3-5 year’s experience in graphic & web design for an established brand, retailer or agency
- Some understanding of advertising principals (modern brand theories) and media landscape
- Ability to conceptualise ideas and develop innovative creative solutions
- Expert knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and typography
- Ability to understand the business needs to develop successful creative assets
- Superior organizational skills.
- Good understanding of and/or or willingness to learn and develop paid media and brand building skills and knowledge
- Must possess a working knowledge of all marketing channels
- Good verbal, written and presentation communication
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent administrative skill
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have passion, integrity, and energy
