**HR Advisor**

The HR Advisor will work in a high performing, highly motivated HR team and will based in our Manchester office. The individual will provide guidance and support to our team of HRBP’s and People Managers on a range of employee related matters, including complex employee relations, cases in order to support the business achieve its goals.

The individual will also work alongside the HR Operations team on a range of projects and process/system improvements as well as guiding the HR Apprentice in providing a robust and responsive HR administration supporting the HR Team and wider business.

The post-holder will be required to operate autonomously and independently within a demanding but supportive HR team to enable the delivery of an exceptional HR support function to the business.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Point of contact for any HR related enquires from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist the Head of HR Operations and the HRBP’s in delivering HR’s strategic priorities.
- Work alongside the Head of HR Operations on policy and practices updates in line with legislative and company practice changes, ensuring legislative and statutory obligations are transposed into HSB’s HR policies
- Provide pro-active support to the wider business for all areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Provide timely and appropriate/relevant support to People Managers in regards to process, policy and procedural queries.
- Support and lead in ER related cases, guiding People Managers in best practice and ensuring HR issues are dealt within the required timescales.
- Work collaboratively with People Managers in ensuring effective monitoring and management of sickness absence cases in order to support employees.
- Provide support and guidance to the HR Apprentice to underpin and deliver a robust and responsive HR administration support to the HR Team
- Assist with the monthly payroll process where necessary ensuring accurate and timely updating of the HR database and payroll processing reviews, and provide relevant payroll data to stakeholders as required.
- Assist the Payroll & MI Adviser with systems administration and payroll and MI reporting as required.
- Ensure all HR processes meet and adhere to internal and external audit requirements at all times.
- Effectively manage third party suppliers delivering HSB’s HR services i.e. Employee Pre-Employment Screening providers.
- Overseeing the Employee Pre-Employment Screening providers.to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support in the provision of business wide health and wellbeing initiatives, alongside promotion of HSB’s employee rewards and benefits offerings.
- Assist the Head of HR Operations and/or the HRBPs with any relevant project work as and when required.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Demonstrable experience in high level HR advisory and employee relations activity
- Experience of providing effective support to People Managers
- Able to deliver creative HR solutions which add commercial value
- Strong Microsoft package skills with systems such as Microsoft Teams, Share point, One Note.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to operate flexibly and within tight deadlines and manage a number of work activities at any one time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in order to deal tactfully and sensitively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications and educational requirements**:

- CIPD qualified is desirable
