Demand Planner

We are looking for a demand planner to join our Group Demand Planning Team, reporting into Group Demand Planning manager.

As a demand planner, you will be responsible for generating an accurate forecast for our Retail and B2B customers from our Pilgrims UK and Dalehead manufacturing sites.

This is a dynamic position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and collaboration cross functionally to ensure a timely and accurate forecast is generated to allow the business to drive supply chain efficiencies and meet our customers demands.

**You will be responsible for and required to undertake the following duties**:

- Utilise SAP APO to develop and maintain an accurate 18-month demand forecast based on historical data, market trends and business insights.
- Collaborate with our commercial sales team and production planning teams and facilitate weekly and monthly review processes to challenge our forecasts and develop a high awareness of our customers trends and behaviours.
- Continuously drive and implement improvements to demand planning processes, systems, and tools.
- Analyse historical sales, YoY seasonality, promotional performance, and changing market conditions to adjust and align demand plan as necessary.
- Interrogate forecast accuracy KPIs, and drive actions on any deviations or discrepancies.
- Prepare and present forecast reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience**:

- Experience as a forecast analyst/demand planner in the food industry or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of demand planning principles and forecasting techniques.
- Detail-orientated with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and articulate and present data to multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work cross-functionally.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- SAP APO preferable but not essential.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Min 3 years experience in forecasting/analysis/planning/supply chain role
- Advanced Level Excel
- Knowledge of FMCG preferrable
