Due to a sustained period of growth our client Borne Interiors Limited have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their hard working team at their offices & warehouse in Oldbury on a flexible part time basis of 20 hours per week.

**Role Overview**:
This role compromises of working alongside experienced Accounts Managers and Finance Directors to help assist them with the day to day running of the accounts and finance departments. You will be responsible for updating and posting invoices, purchase orders and keeping on track of payments and VAT Invoices. A flexible approach to the role is required, with the potential to increase to a full-time position in the future.

Attention to detail is essential in this job role, and it will be necessary to have experience of working within a high-paced accounts or finance role before. Accuracy and efficiency in written and verbal communication is a critical skill for this role, along with strong numeracy skills.

**Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited too)**:

- Daily use of Sage 500 to post supplier invoices, updating purchase ledgers and setting up new suppliers.
- Corresponding with the Finance Team to update the status of purchase orders and costings sheet when payments have been actioned.
- Liaising with our suppliers to ensure all VAT invoices are received in a timely manner.
- Entering supplier invoices onto Sage 500 and posting with the correct coding.
- Communicating efficiently with suppliers and the wider team regarding payment queries, supplier questions and general finance queries.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Ensuring purchase orders are correct, comparing to supplier invoices and promptly updating ledgers.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1-2 years in an accounting/finance environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient user of IT systems, mainly Microsoft, Google Drive & Sage.
- Be confident working under pressure to meet deadlines and have an eye for detail.
- Sage 500 experience (not essential, but preferable).
- Strong numeracy skills
- Able to work under your own supervision, but also as a valued team-member.
