We are seeking a Global Governance Assurance Specialist as part of the Global Governance Team, this role supports the implementation and assurance of the Diageo Global Strategy, across two core geographies - Africa / Americas.
You will assure Diageo processes globally via codified leading systems and will enable leading levels of regulatory compliance, acknowledging that accountability belongs at site and market level.

You will be responsible for:
- Drive the implementation of the Global Risk Management Standards (GRMS) Compliance Programme, setting the assurance strategy for Global Governance owned Standards including H&S, Quality & Environment.
- Manage and support the implementation of the Global Audit Management System (AMS) tool - (Enablon AMS)
- Developing standardised frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms to assure compliance in their core geographies.
- Work with internal market stakeholders supporting them to identify compliance risks.
- Develop stakeholders compliance assessment schedules and action findings to confirm compliance to Diageo Global Standards, applicable regulatory and legal requirements, as well as good business practices.
- Drive engagement for the implementation of best practices in the areas of Governance Assurance.
- Lead key improve and transform projects and work with internal stakeholders to build assurance capabilities across our business.
- Lead Independent Assurance Audits to confirm compliance and maturity.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Great engagement and communication skills, experience of coaching and influencing a range of partners for success.
- Demonstrable track record in projects, delivery of change programmes and cross-functional team working with a competency in governance and assurance.
- A degree in a science, or governance, related discipline or qualified through relevant experience is desirable for this role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with excellent knowledge of supply chain standards and relevant legislation would also be desirable.
