One of our Engineering clients is looking for a Technical Administrator to join their expanding team. Due to an increase in demand, the role will cover several aspects of the company's operational activity, including purchasing, stock control, operational and quality statistics.

The main responsibilities would include monitoring the supplier base performance in terms of price, quality and service levels;develop new suppliers; improving the cost base at no lose to service and quality factors; maintain and enhance supplier relationships;complete a tendering process for all contract work to an issued bill of materials and complete support from the engineering and operations teams; place orders with providers to the requirements of the tendering process and daily needs of the business;secure the best value when purchasing materials online;update the contract cost sheet in real time to reflect price and operational factors; transfer required data to the system;work with stores to ensure standard components are ordered on time and to required levels; net back all stock/stored items against contract work prior to placing purchase orders; liaise and control stored levels of consumables and place orders in a timely manner; develop a basic stock control system that monitros stock levels and usages of key and high priced materials; as part of the month end routine issue the company closing stock position; liaise daily with the Operations Manager and foremen and log the operational activity of workshop employees; on the final day of each month issue the activity analysis to the Accoutns Department; update files on the completion of contract work ( online and hard copy form); transfer photograpghs of contract work to job files; keep all ISO9001 record sheets updated and assist in annual audits.
